Post Specialist Registration practical experience in a Histopathology laboratory is required by this UKAS accredited department. Our friendly team provides a comprehensive histology service including immunohistochemistry and non-gynaecological cytology. The department also undertakes research project work for the Trust and Imperial college. Although based at the Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea, London rotation to Harefield Hospital in Middlesex is required to support transplant biopsy and remote urgent frozen section reporting. This position is ideal for the Specialist BMS who wishes to maintain their core histopathology skills but also explore new technology, including image analysis, tissue array and dissection.

 

The successful candidate will be expected to participate in all sections of the department and in the on-call rota after appropriate training. In addition, you will work alongside colleagues to support other activities required by our governing bodies such as HTA and UKAS.
